Systemax
Company details are not filled in yet. The shop is not open for orders.
1. About the agreement
These terms apply to the purchase of custom-made tool inserts from Systemax. The agreement is entered into when you complete payment, and consists of these terms, the order confirmation and the layout you put together in the designer. Purchases are made by persons over 18 years of age.
2. The product
Each insert is made to order, shaped to the outlines of your own tools as they appear in the photos you upload, and split into several boxes that are packed and shipped as one set. Because the product is made from your photos and your layout, every order is unique.
Minor variation in colour, surface finish and tolerances is normal for made-to-order production and is not considered a defect. Fit is determined by the photos you upload; for the best result, upload photos showing the whole tool straight from above.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are given in Norwegian kroner, and the price shown at checkout is the final amount including shipping. The business is not registered in the Norwegian VAT register (Merverdiavgiftsregisteret), so no VAT is added on top.
Payment is made by payment card. The amount is charged when the order is placed, as production starts immediately. There is a minimum order value, which is shown at checkout if your order is below it.
4. Delivery
We ship within Norway. Shipping is calculated from the actual size of your set and is shown at checkout before you pay. You can choose delivery to an address or to a pickup point; the carrier notifies you by SMS, which is why a phone number is required.
Production time depends on the size of the set. You receive a tracking number when the parcel is dispatched. Risk for the goods passes to you when you, or someone on your behalf, have taken possession of the parcel.
5. Right of withdrawal
There is no right of withdrawal on these products. Under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven) § 22 (a), the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications, or which are given a clear personal character. The inserts are cut to your own tool photos and your own layout, and cannot be resold to anyone else.
By completing your order you confirm that you have been informed of this and that you lose the right of withdrawal once production starts. This does not limit your rights if the goods are faulty — see section 6.
6. Faulty goods
You have full complaint rights (reklamasjonsrett) under the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven). The deadline is two years after you took possession of the goods, and five years if the goods are intended to last substantially longer than two years. A complaint must be made within a reasonable time after you discovered, or should have discovered, the defect.
If there is a defect, you may require repair, replacement, a price reduction or cancellation under the rules of the Act. Get in touch with your order number and photos of the fault, and we will find a solution.
7. Your photos and your layout
You keep the rights to the photos and logos you upload. You grant us the right to use them to the extent necessary to produce and deliver your order. You are responsible for having the right to use what you upload — in particular logos and other marks belonging to others.
We do not make inserts for objects that are illegal to possess, and we reserve the right to decline an order. If an order is declined, the full amount is refunded.
8. Product specification and intended use
This section describes what the product is. It is part of the description of the goods, and the goods are assessed against it: an insert that matches this specification is not defective, even if it turns out to be unsuited to a use it is not sold for.
- Material: 3D-printed thermoplastic (FDM)
- Dimensional tolerance: ±0,5 mm
- Colour, surface finish and layer appearance vary between production runs.
The inserts are storage and organisation products for indoor use in a workshop drawer or cabinet. They are not designed, tested or sold for:
- outdoor use, or prolonged exposure to sunlight and UV
- heat — the material softens well below boiling point, so not in ovens, on hot tools, or in a car in direct sun
- contact with food, drink, or anything ingested
- electrical insulation, mains voltage, or use as an enclosure for live parts — the material is not flame-retardant
- load-bearing, structural, protective or safety-critical use of any kind
- contact with solvents, fuels, oils or aggressive chemicals
- medical, aviation, marine, automotive or industrial-certified applications
No certification, approval or standards compliance is claimed for any purpose. If your use falls outside the list above, you are responsible for deciding whether the product is suitable, and we do not warrant that it is.
Material and tolerance have not been confirmed for production yet. The shop is not open for orders.
9. Liability
If you are a consumer, your rights under forbrukerkjøpsloven and produktansvarsloven apply in full, and nothing in these terms limits them. Those Acts cannot be set aside by agreement, and we do not attempt to. Section 6 describes what you can require if the goods are faulty.
What section 8 does instead is define what the product is. Where an insert matches its specification, it conforms to the agreement — so a loss arising from a use the product is expressly not sold for is not a defect in the goods.
If you are buying as a business — that is, you gave a valid organisasjonsnummer at checkout and are buying in the course of business — the sale is governed by kjøpsloven rather than forbrukerkjøpsloven, and the following applies:
- Our total liability arising out of an order is limited to the amount paid for the order giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of production, downtime, loss of data, or damage to other property.
- Claims must be made in writing without undue delay after the defect was, or should have been, discovered.
- These limits do not apply to loss caused by gross negligence or intent, nor to liability that cannot be limited by agreement — in particular liability for personal injury under produktansvarsloven.
Whether you are a consumer is decided by the facts of the purchase, not by which option was selected at checkout. A private person buying for private use is a consumer, and keeps every consumer right, regardless.
10. Software, previews and exported files
The designer, previews and exported CAD files are provided as a free tool alongside the sale. They are supplied as they are, with no warranty that a generated file is fit for any particular machine, process or purpose.
- Check any exported file before you cut, print or machine from it — dimensions, tolerances and orientation are yours to verify.
- A preview is a visualisation, not a guarantee of the finished part.
- You keep the rights to what you upload; you are responsible for having the right to use it.
This section covers the free tools on this site. Where a file is delivered as part of a paid order, it is part of what you bought and sections 6 and 9 apply to it in the ordinary way.
11. Complaints
Please contact us first and we will try to resolve the matter. If we cannot reach agreement, you may bring the case before the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet), or use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
Norwegian law governs this agreement. Disputes are resolved by Norwegian courts, unless mandatory legislation provides otherwise.
