About us

We make the place a tool goes back to.

Systemax builds shadow-fit boxes for the tools you already own — traced from your own tools, laid out on a grid, and made to drop into the drawer they were designed for.

What we are aiming at

The ultimate 5S organisation system. Nothing less is the target.

We set out to build the best tool organisation system our customers can get — not a tidier drawer, but the point where everything has one obvious place and staying organised costs no effort at all.

That is a standard, not a finish line. Every part of it — how a tool is captured, how a layout is drawn, how a box fits the drawer it goes into, how little you have to do to get there — is something we keep pushing on. When we find a better way, it goes into the product.

And it does not stop at 5S. The same thinking applies to anything in a workshop that should be effortless and usually is not: convenience systems, built to the same standard, so the space works for the person using it rather than the other way around.

What we make

An outline is a decision that only has to be made once

A tool without a home ends up wherever the last person put it. Give it an outline and the question disappears: the tool is either in its shadow or it is visibly missing, and anyone can see which from across the room.

Everything we make starts from a photograph of a real tool — the worn one, the ground-down one, the odd one somebody made — and ends as a box shaped to that outline. Nothing is picked from a catalogue, and nothing asks you to replace kit that already works.

The boxes sit on the 42 mm Gridfinity grid, so a drawer is built from parts that keep fitting each other as it changes. Swap one box out, and the rest of the layout stays exactly where it was.

How we work

Three things we do not bend on

Your tools, not a catalogue

Every outline comes from your own tools, photographed as they are today. That is the whole point of the fit.

You approve before anything is made

You see the layout for a drawer and say what to move. Nothing is produced until you have signed it off.

We say what we do not know

Where a specification is not settled yet, the site says so rather than filling the gap with a number that sounds good.

Two ways to work with us

The same boxes, reached from two different doors

The work is identical; what differs is who does the measuring and the drawing.

Do it yourself

Photograph your tools, lay the drawer out against a live grid in your browser, and order when it looks right. No CAD experience needed.

Industrial

A representative visits your site, captures your tools in person, and designs inserts for the whole shop as a standard you can repeat.

Who you are talking to

A small company, and you reach the people who run it

There is no support queue between you and the people doing the work. Write to the address below and it reaches both of us — or pick a person, if you already know whose side your question sits on.
